Over the span of this course, you will walk through all the necessary steps from how to prepare a bowl blank, the different ways to mount a blank to the lathe, the use of bowl gouges and the creation of a tenon. As students become more comfortable on the lathe, we will turn our focus to shaping of the bowls exterior, using a dovetail chuck and forming the rim of your bowl. The course will also cover clearing the interior of your bowl, proper sanding techniques and finishing methods.
