Providing an overview of the fundamental pottery making techniques, while also incorporating lessons on unconventional means of production; this class is built to cater to makers of all skill levels. Erin’s teaching is focused on giving students the skills that they need to realize their own designs. In their overview of pottery techniques, Erin shows the basics of HOW to make forms, while encouraging independent creativity and exploration. Each class evolves organically, based on the interests of the attendees. To help students create their own portfolio of skills to reach their creative goals; every semester presents a new set of demonstrations in throwing, sculpting, coil building, surface decorating, and glazing. No two classes are the same!
