Advanced Ceramics Tuesday Day
This class will be a very focused class for students to work on independent project experiment and explore, to come up with and execute a project that they are passionate about. Using skills, they have developed from other ceramics classes, such as hand building or wheel throwing, each student will create either a large piece or a series of smaller works. Students will grow their skills and techniques in this class to create their passion projects.
Kaas (Kaashif) Ghanie was born in London Ontario in 1989. He received his Bachelors of Fine Art in Ceramics, at the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design University as well as Minor in Art History. Originally his practice was working in interdisciplinary methods, in the realm of sculpture and drawing, it was not until NSCAD Ceramics where he was introduced to clay. Highly intrigued by the ceramic process and making Ghanie was hooked into wheel throwing large vessels.
