What better way to serve a beverage than on a flight board. Each patron will learn how to cut out their template, create a subset for the cork inlay and leave with four glasses ready for the nearest porch.
Jackie Toner is a hobbyist woodworker who found this passion through the restoration of wood furniture pieces and giving them a new life. More recently Jackie moved to Nova Scotia to attend Dalhousie University and bought a house in Windsor, NS which gave her the opportunity to build her own workshop in her basement. When she is not in school you can find her with tools in her hands making quality wood pieces with local and ethically sourced and renewable exotic woods and materials. Jackie is a volunteer at Hand on Halifax and oversees the woodshop at the Windsor Makerspace Studio in the Windsor, NS. Jackie is constantly working to expand her knowledge and, in the process, share what she learns by teaching classes. Throughout Jackie’s classes she works to create an inclusive environment that fosters confidence with hands-on skill development.
